Blood Moon #2
Tell us a bit about yourself.
Genevieve Labreck is back with a score to settle. Her mom has been kidnapped by Zane, hybrid and all-around monster. Rumors fly that Gen’s mom is holed away in Prague, a city recognized by humans for its serene beauty and intense culture, but Gen and Will know something humans don’t. Prague is haunted by dark, evil forces.
Can Gen and Will save her mom, or will they be too late?
Some will live, others will fall. At what price do you walk away from those you love?
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I am a small business owner with four children, and 5 grandchildren. I live in Alabama with my husband, John, who happens to be the greatest guy EVER. I was working full time at our business and writing only part time, but now I write full time and I couldn’t be happier.
When did you begin writing?
I actually started writing at the age of four, when I wrote and performed my own commercial for used cars … lol.
Have you ever been discouraged in regard to your writing ability and if so, how did
you get past it and move forward?
Have I? Let me say this. What day is it? I get discouraged all the time, especially if I am having a bad day. I just remember why it is I write. The READERS! People contact me on a daily basis and thank me for doing what I do, or ask me when the next book will be out. It’s their excitement that encourages me to press on.
What's your favorite thing about writing?
I get to create the most awesome characters, and make them do whatever I want. It’s my world—no rules, just write.
What is something you've written that will never see the light of day?
I started out writing a short story about a teenage girl in high school who got pregnant. Then my teenage daughter in high school turned up pregnant. TRUTH. It freaked me out, so I shelved the story and will never finish it.
What is your writer food?
Dunkin Doughnuts coffee and a Ziploc bag of dried Fruit Loops. If I am writing, I always have those two things near by.
What inspires you to write?
My love for story telling. When my children were little (they’re all grown now) anytime we went camping or had bonfires at the house, we’d all sit around the fire and I would tell them spooky stories. Or if one of the kids woke up crying in the middle of the night, I would crawl under the covers with them and tell them a made up story with a happy ending.
How many books have you written and which is your favorite?
I’ve only written three books to date, but my favorites are definitely the Blood Moon series. This group of characters have grown to be like my kids. I swear, I find myself thinking about them all the time, just as if they were real. I guess in my mind they are.
What authors do you like to read?
I love to read John Grisham, Stephen King, Catherine Coulter, Amanda Hocking, Rachel Higginson, Amy Plum, and the list goes on and on.
What inspired you to write Ties To The Blood Moon?
A crazy dream I couldn’t get out of my head. I had it twice, then decided to put it to pen and paper and see what came of it. Four months later, I finished Ties.
Would you say you relate to any of your characters? If so, which one and why?
In my FBI/thriller novel, my lead character, Grace Giovanni, is a lot like I would have been if I had stayed single and picked a career in law enforcement. She’s bold, to the point, bitchy at times, and doesn’t take any crap from anyone. I used to be like her, or maybe I wanted to be like her … lol.
