Character Interview: Cassie from Zombified by Lyra Mcken

Hey guys, Ren here! I had the pleasure, or should I say displeasure, of interviewing Cassie from Zombified. It's unknown why I can understand "Slopar", the language of the zombies....more like a series of moans and groans. Lets get down to business, shall we?

Cassie is a typical teenager. She’s crushing on a boy and trying to make it through high school. It’s a typical day of classes when all hell breaks loose. Forced to run and hide the situation just keeps getting worse. She makes a mistake and soon becomes infected. She meets others like her and together they sent out to find a cure. Is their fate already sealed? Can they find a cure before it’s too late? See what happens through the eyes of the infected when Cassie tells you how Zombies are people too.

Cassie, we're going to begin with the events leading up to your infection.

What did you think was happening when people you knew took on a "greyish" complexion and started eating people?

At first I thought the guy was a meth addict. The first one I saw was through the window of my classroom, and he had the vacant eyes, skinny body, and overall meth addict out appearance.

You were able to spend some time with your crush, Brett, while hiding out. How was it?

It was amazing. I have always wanted to spend time with him alone, but then I got hungry and well… Let’s just say he probably doesn’t want to see me again.

Lets move on to after your infection.

What did the transition feel like?

It felt strange, like my body was changing, but I didn’t know what would happen. I started looking at people like food without meaning to. The bite hurt and my insides hurt. It is indescribable and horrible. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Any chance of a zombie romance in the future?

*groan snickers* Doubtful, have you seen the zombie men around here? They are literally falling apart. I have heard of people partnering up after the change, but you have to really see past the exterior. That might make me shallow, but I don’t care, I’m a zombie. {shrugs}

Last question...How tasty is human flesh?

Surprisingly it tastes like chicken. No, I'm kidding. It doesn't have a taste to zombies at least not to me. Rose sometimes pretends it tastes like biscuits and gravy, but really it is like when humans drink water. No taste..
